History of
Soaring Eagle Wind Chimes
Soaring Eagle Wind
Chimes' history dates back to a great grandfather from Gage, Oklahoma
who was an Indian Agent for the U.S. Government. John Gage
brought fairness to the Cherokee. In return, the chief gave him
one of his daughters. The rest is history.
The company originated
from a family effort to work together in craft shows. Since then,
the company has fine-tuned the building of the chimes in an effort to
build long lasting, durable chimes with a pleasing sound and pleasant
aesthetic appeal. The company focuses on copper chimes and is one
of a few copper chime makers in the United States. All materials
are of the finest quality and durability. Any variation in our
product contributes to its uniqueness. Variations in the patina
color should in no way be construed as a defect. It is the
natural aging process of copper.
Wind chimes date back as
far as the 1500's. Copper is the first metal used by man and
dates back to 5000 B.C. One of the outstanding features of copper
is its durability and is used as an alloy inmost other metals. In
ancient times, the chief source of copper was the island of
Cyprus. Both the word copper and chemical symbol, CU, come from
cuprum, the Roman name for Cyprian metal. Along with its
durability, it has the feature of becoming a characteristic green-blue
, red, yellow, and/or rust color patina with age. Depending on
weather conditions, the patina color may change. The patina
process will continue after you purchase your chime, thereby producing
varying colors of blue-green and lending a rustic appearance. The
patina color has long been valued for its aesthetic appeal and aura
attributed to it over the years.
In addition, they can
enhance and create a mystical aura and peace to any backyard.
Although Soaring Eagle Wind Chimes cannot guarantee good fortune, they
do guarantee their chimes.
We, at Soaring Eagle Wind
Chimes, are proud of our product, its durability, aesthetic appeal, and
pleasant sound, and hope it will bring you many years of enjoyment.
